“Service Above Self” is a motto of Rotary Clubs around the world. One example of this type of service is The Rotary Club of Riverside’s collaboration with organizations having similar missions. Arlington Temporary Assistance (ATA) and Feeding America Riverside San Bernardino are two of those organizations.
Last November, through this collaboration, ATA was able to help another forty families in need with generous Thanksgiving Dinner boxes.
Organized in 1930, ATA has been assisting residents in need in the Arlanza area of Riverside by distributing food and clothing donated by Walmart, Target, and others.
In recent years, several Riverside Rotary Clubs worked together to provide ATA with major equipment needed in order to improve delivery and storage of materials and food. This collaboration improved the efficiency of ATA’s delivery of service to the needy in our community.
