After a hiatus caused by the pandemic, the District has resumed its annual music competition.
The Arlington, Riverside Sunrise, and Riverside clubs joined together to hold a preliminary competition at Calvary Presbyterian Church, Riverside on February 20.
Three talented performers were sent to the finals: Elyse Abad (vocalist), Brian Huynh (pianist) and Isabelle Ragsac (pianist). (See above photo.)
The team that put the Riverside competition together included Phil Bremenstuhl (Riverside), Anette Guldhammer-Beals (Arlington), and Steve Morford (Riverside). Thanks also to Richard Hassen, president of Arlington, who served as one of the judges. (Also pictured above.)
District Vocal Finals’ Prize Winners
Elyse Abad, Riverside vocal finalist, went on to take second in the district vocal finals and earned a prize of $500.
NOTE: The piano finals are scheduled for Saturday, May 7 at the University of Redlands.
