Join us on Wednesday 9/2/2020 at noon where we’ll hear from Aja Smith, a multigenerational veteran, and candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives.

Technical Sergeant Aja Smith comes from a long line of military service. Both of her grandparents served in the armed forces–her grandfather fought in World War II, the Korean War, and in Vietnam, while her great uncle was a Tuskegee Airman pilot.

Smith decided to follow in her family’s footsteps after the September 11th attacks and enlisted in the United States Air Force Reserve in 2002. In 2007, she was deployed to Qatar, where she participated in Operation Enduring Freedom.

A native of Moreno Valley, California, Smith has focused her campaign on national defense, veterans issues, and tax reform. An ardent supporter of Donald Trump, Smith is hoping to become the first Black female Republican candidate to be elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from California.
