A check for $1,000 paid for 40 family-meals boxed by Feeding America Riverside San Bernardino Counties volunteers!
Feeding America delivered the boxes directly to Arlington Temporary Assistance for distribution to needy families in Riverside’s 6th Council District (near the Riverside City Airport).
These funds were raised from generous donations made by Facebook users on our Foundation’s “donate” button and special gifts by Rotary Club members.
In past years, Riverside Rotary Club members purchased groceries and assembled the boxed meals themselves for distribution by Arlington Temporary Assistance at Thanksgiving time.
Covid-19 challenges encouraged the Club to partner with Feeding America this year.
You can see from the smiles that we felt especially good with this new partner in our Thanksgiving Giving project.
